- One person is chosen to be the “Octopus”.
- Person who is the Octopus stands in the centre of the room.
- Everyone stands against the wall at one end of the room.
- Person who is the Octopus shouts “Octopus”.
- Everyone tries to run across the room to the opposite wall without being tug by the Octopus.
- Anyone who is tug becomes part of the Octopus and without moving their feet they try to tig others running past them.
- Game continues until everyone is caught.
