Volunteer Membership

To volunteer with Woodcraft Folk you need to join us as a member. For most roles working directly with young people, you will also need to obtain a DBS check (or a PVG in Scotland).

To get started, you will need to create an account on Groop, the system we use to manage member information. You will then receive further instructions by email to guide you through:

  • completing your membership application
  • making payment (£36.90 per year, or £12 low waged/unwaged)
  • completing your DBS/PVG application (if required)
  • providing two references to support your application

New Volunteers

If you want to get involved as a volunteer, take a look at our current opportunities, or get in touch with your nearest group using our Group Finder.

Become a Friend

If you don’t want to volunteer but are keen to support our work with young people, becoming a Friend of Woodcraft Folk by signing up to make a regular donation.
