This is an introductory game, used to help learn and remember the names of others. Like most name games it is very simple, and not really intended for repeated use. Sprinkled here and there in a programme of activities, however, name games can form a useful first step in getting to know peoples names, and learning just a little about them.
How to play
Sit in a circle. One person begins by introducing themselves, prefixing their name with a descriptive word that starts with the same letter – for example “I’m Super Sarah”.
The person next to them continues, “That’s Super Sarah, I’m Naughty Niamh”. This continues around the circle until the last person has to name everyone in the group.
This game could be followed up with the activity Exploring the Woodcraft Folk to make a session about getting to know each other and what this group is all about.
