Buzzy Bees

Buzzy Bees is a fun, silly and active game that can be played in person or in an online group.

How to play

One person in the game is the caller and they call out ‘buzzy bees, buzzy bees’ and then do a buzzing sound.

All the players fly about as a bee.

The caller then shouts out a letter/ colour / category.

Everyone freezes as something in the category / starting with the letter / that is the colour.

The caller then guesses what everyone is — or the players could come out of their shape to guess the others (eg. caller says ‘what is Daphne?’ everyone else stops to look at her and guess). With younger groups you may need to have the facilitator be the caller, but with older elfins and pioneers you could let them take turns.

Tip

This works well online as long as the players can move around in their own space and still be visible on the camera.
