This is an introductory game, used to help learn and remember the names of others. Like most name games it is very simple, and not really intended for repeated use. Sprinkled here and there in a programme of activities, however, name games can form a useful first step in getting to know peoples names, and learning just a little about them.
How to play
Stand in a circle.
One person begins by choosing an action to mime which starts with the same letter as their name (sliding Scott, tip-toeing Theresa etc). They say “I’m tip-toeing Theresa” as they do their mime. Everyone else responds by saying “Hello tip-toeing Theresa” and copying the mime.
Continue around the circle until everyone has had a turn.
