Instructions

  • Choose a cat and mouse.
  • Arrange the others into a neat “grid” – for example if there are twenty children, four rows of five.
  • All of them stretch their arms out, fingertips touching, to form four lines.
  • The cat and mouse are able to run up and down these lines, the cat trying to catch the mouse, but they cannot break through the lines.
  • However, when you call “change” the children must turn 90 degrees, forming new rows at right angles to the old ones.
  • Sometimes it will help the mouse, sometimes the cat – change at leader’s
