This is an introductory game, used to help learn and remember the names of others. Like most name games it is very simple, and not really intended for repeated use. Sprinkled here and there in a programme of activities, however, name games can form a useful first step in getting to know peoples names, and learning just a little about them.
How to play
Divide the group into two roughly even teams.
Two non-players are needed to hold up the blanket.
The teams stand on either side of the blanket, so that each team is hidden to the other.
Each team chooses one player to stand at the front of their team.
When both are ready, the blanket is dropped and the two players try to call the others name as quickly as they can!
Continue until all the players have had at least one turn.
