Introduce yourself

Instructions

This is an introductory game, used to help learn and remember the names of others. Like most name games it is very simple, and not really intended for repeated use. Sprinkled here and there in a programme of activities, however, name games can form a useful first step in getting to know peoples names, and learning just a little about them.

How to play

  • Players all sit in a circle. The pen and paper is put in the middle.
  • Ask a player to go into the circle and write down their name.
  • Then they introduce themselves to the rest of the group and give an explanation of either where their name came from or how they got their name.
  • Carry on round the circle until everyone has introduced themselves

Resources Required

Large sheet of paper & marker pen
