In the manner of the word is a silly word-based acting game. The wilder your flights of fancy, the funnier the outcome! It can be played with anything from two players, but is more fun with a larger group.
What to do
One player is asked to leave the room or move out of earshot. If you are playing online they could turn off their computer sound and turn their back to the screen.
The group thinks of a juicy adverb (bizarrely, childishly, euphorically, lazily etc).
The player who went outside comes back and challenges the group to pretend to perform everyday tasks (doing the ironing, running for a bus, brushing your hair) in the manner of the word, until they guess what the word is.
Variations
You can play this either with one person guessing and everyone else acting, or one person acting and everyone else guessing.
