Instructions

What to do

Ask each participant to take turns to roll a dice. The facilitator gives them the number of playing cards from the pack equal to the number on the dice rolled.

repeat this for a few rounds until you can see a clear difference in how many cards the participants have

Ask the participants to count how many cards they have

The player with the highest number of cards wins a prize (biscuit, sweet etc.)

Discussion Questions:

  • how do you feel now?
  • is this game fair? Why (and why not)?
  • Are there things in real life that work just like this game? How?
  • How could you make the game more fair?
  • How could the unfair things in real life be made more fair?

Resources Required

a dice, pack of playing cards, pens, papers, a small prize
