Venturer camp is back for 2023 – bookings now open!

Venturer Camp 2023 will be happening at Biblins Youth Campsite this summer Between 5th and 12th August 2023 and especially for this year, the camp is open to young people between the ages of 13 and 17. Some of the previous venturers didn’t get the chance to participate in a Venturer Camp because of Covid and logistic reasons, that’s why the Ventuer Camp Team is excited to be opening the camp to venturers and 16 and 17 year old DF in 2023.

The theme for the camp will be Mythology and those already signed up are really excited to see what the Programme Team comes up with for this theme! The programme still remains a surprise but at this camp attendees will be able to take part in traditional Woodcraft Folk camp activities such as bushcraft, arts and crafts, activism related activities, a wide game, a merry moot, a ceilidh, live music, DJs and a media centre that produces the news as well as a MEST-UP centre running some workshops. The Programme Team is also working hard to plan some adventurous activities such as canoeing on the river. The camp will also be a great opportunity to be in nature and catch up with friends as well as the chance to meet new people.

Woodcraft Folk Events Assistant Millie Burgh says:

“Venturer camps bring together teenagers from our groups all over the country to meet each other, learn from each other and have fun together and it results in a beautiful event that makes us all feel so much more positive about the future! I’ll never forget how at the last venturer camp one participant said it was the best week of their life so far.” –

Don’t miss this great opportunity and have the summer of your life! Bookings are now open ! If you don’t want to miss any information follow them on Instagram or Facebook and if you would like to volunteer and to get involved in this wonderful event you can find all the information on the website.

Venturer Camp 2023 Co-ordinator Thomas Boxall says:

“I’m really excited to see a group of (mostly) strangers come into a field at the start of the week and by the end see some great friendships formed! In the process of forming those friendships they’ll have fun and learn new things!”
