Local Safeguarding Plan

The Local Safeguarding Plan for your group or district builds the bridge between Woodcraft Folk’s safeguarding policies and your local practice. Every group should have a local plan in place that identifies how volunteers work together to keep young members safe during your activities – and this should be reviewed and updated at least every year.

You can base your own plan on our Google Doc template (remember to click “create a copy” to make an editable version), or download the template as a Word document or PDF from the right hand side of this page. You can also find the template in the ‘Volunteering’ section of the templates gallery of Google Docs when logged in with a Woodcraft Folk account.

Woodcraft Folk’s safeguarding lead Owen led a webinar in October 2021 around local safeguarding plans. Watch it here.
