Insurance

Woodcraft Folk’s activities are covered by employers’ liability and public liability insurance, providing that minimum expectations in our policies and procedures are adhered to.

Confirmation of this insurance cover, to a value of £10m can be confirmed by downloading the certificates via this link. Further details, if required, can be obtained by emailing info@woodcraft.org.uk.

Subject to sufficient supervision by adult volunteers, and a risk assessment having been completed and implemented, groups are covered to undertake activities such as:

  • singing & dancing
  • arts & crafts
  • indoor & outdoor games
  • discussion & debate activities
  • walks & hikes
  • orienteering
  • camping
  • bushcraft activities (including use of tools)
  • cooking
  • bike rides
  • den building
  • non-hazardous fundraising activities (e.g. bag packing)

Adventurous activities such as caving, climbing or water sports can only be covered if delivered by instructors at our Centres, otherwise qualified instructors with their own insurance must be engaged.
