Re-ignite Project Funding Success

Woodcraft Folk is delighted to receive grant funding from the Jack Petchey Foundation to support groups to rebuild following COVID disruptions.

The 12 month Reignite project will be targeting groups and Districts in the following London Boroughs:

  • Croydon,
  • Hammersmith & Fulham,
  • Merton, Southwark
  • Wandsworth.

The project aims to reignite and rebuild Woodcraft Folk groups and activities following the disruption caused by COVID which saw groups close and loss of volunteers. The project will start by contacting all those previously involved in Woodcraft Folk to welcome them back and to explore ways in which they can re engage.

During Easter and the Summer term the project will co-ordinate a series of outreach activities, recruiting new volunteers and attracting children, young people and families through playout and community events.

The project will also focus on youth leadership, creating tailor made training and support opportunities for new and young leaders aged 16 – 25 years.

For more information visit our Reignite page and keep an eye here for updates throughout the project.
