Campers return again to idyllic Park Farm

Campers have returned again to Park Farm with three glorious long weekends for youth organisation Woodcraft Folk’s young members.

Park Farm is a wonderfully located site to embrace the countryside and those who attended recently made new friends of different ages and enjoyed activities such as singing around the camp fire which was made using wood sourced from the onsite woods as well as creating wooden ‘deer’ in Park Farm’s bushcraft area with tools provided. Young groups also used the many craft materials available to all campers to produce banners, create potatoes prints and lanterns with a highlight being using the new large telescope in the fields to see the full moon, Venus and some shooting stars!

Park Farm is located near the picturesque village of Lurgashall in West Sussex and is operated and managed by Wimbledon District Woodcraft Folk. The site offers tremendous scope for both small and large group camps. The 42-acre site is situated in the South Downs National Park and is surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside to enjoy.  The site has been sensitively developed for traditional camping which allows Woodcraft Folk groups and districts as well as other youth groups and families to camp easily and at low cost.
