What’s the Project About?

You are already part of something truly extraordinary!  Young People in Woodcraft Folk have helped shape the world around them, each generation facing their challenges, working together, spanning the world with Friendship.
We want to work with you to explore our stories, now and from the past and bring them to life through 100 objects that tell the story of Woodcraft Folk over it’s 100 year history.  We will share our stories of activism as a movement for peace and social justice. As a group of young people you will get to decide which stories are told, defining who we are and help shape our future.

What You’ll Do
  • Talk to your friends and Woodcraft Leaders to find out more about Woodcraft Folk where you are
  • Dive into our National Archives – join workshops at UCL where our archives are kept where we will explore our history
  • Tell the stories – work creatively with the Museum of Youth Culture to write, photograph, film, find new ways for you to tell our stories
  • Make new friends and connections with other Woodcraft Folk young members and share stories and experiences
  • Create, curate and promote workshops and exhibitions with Young People at Camp 100 and a touring exhibition starting at Rochdale Pioneers Museum
Why Join?
  • You’ll be part of a team led by young people celebrating youth culture
  • Learn new skills in research, archivism, content creation, and communication
  • Gain hands-on experience with archives, media production, and storytelling
