Woodcraft Folk’s Trustee Board met mid-April for an online meeting during which they discussed:
- Safeguarding
- End of year finances
- First quarter finances
A summary of their discussions has been prepared by Nadia Asir, Lead Trustee for Safeguarding, which can be viewed in the video below.
During the meeting the Trustees celebrated new funding from Nature England, YHA, Scottish Government, DCMS and UK Youth and discussed Woodcraft Folk’s financial situation. Groups and Districts generally reported a loss in 2022, although this is largely due to spending funds raised in 2019 & 2020 on the delayed Common Ground international camp.
The full Annual Report will be published in June. which will include a summary of activity and a full account of all income and expenditure across the charity.
The Trustee Board meets roughly every 2 months to maintain oversight of all Woodcraft Folk activities, alternating between online and face to face meetings. Their next meeting will be June 17th & 18th in London, observers are welcome to attend. Nominations are currently open for Trustee and Standing Orders elections, for more information visit our website. The deadline is 26th June 2023.
