Woodcraft Folk’s Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers to join its Safeguarding Committee. The committee has a vital role to play in supporting the Board and staff team to ensure that our groups, activities, centres and projects provide a safe environment for children and young people.
The committee meets up to three times a year to review our policies and procedures, advise the Board on its role in safeguarding children & young people, and scritinise the process for recuriting volunteers to work with our groups.
We are partciuarly keen to find volunteers to join the committee with a good understanding of the prinicples of safeguarding, and experience in applying these to working with children and young people, either any aspect of Woodcraft Folk’s work or in another setting, whether paid or voluntary.
