Communications Assistant

Woodcraft Folk is looking for volunteers to support with communications activity. This is an exciting time to be joining the team which was only formed a year ago with lots of interesting projects planned.

Working with the Communications Manager, the role will see you getting involved with a range of projects including: helping to promote campaigns, creating design work for various channels, social media marketing, copywriting and video editing. We are looking for a team of volunteers so if you are only interested in one or a few of the work areas please do get in touch.

The role will see the candidate communicating with a range of audiences from Woodcraft Folk members to visitors at our centres.

The ideal candidate for this role will have creative flair and an eye for great design and excellent communication skills and will ideally be confident using graphic design packages to create artwork that will be distributed across a range of channels.

This volunteering role is a great chance to help support a charity that is making a big impact with youth work as well as gain valuable experience in marketing and communications.

Support is available from Woodcraft Folk’s Communication’s Manager, and relevant training can be provided. This is a highly flexible opportunity that could be fitted around other commitments, and will see you working virtually with a small group of volunteers and staff based around the UK.

This is a fully flexible role to work around your availability and will be remotely based. It is desirable that the applicant has some experience in marketing, design or communications.

For more information or to request a copy of the Role Description, email lauren.penny@woodcraft.org.uk.
