Help make Camp 100 a camp for all

Youth organisation Woodcraft Folk have just one week from 3-10 December to raise 15k to help reduce financial barriers to participation for their Camp 100 event so that everybody has the chance to attend. Crucially, all donations are doubled during the Big Give campaign week by a match funder.

Next year, Woodcraft Folk reaches a very special milestone of 100 years of dedicated service to youth work. In celebration of the charty’s centenary, they are costing an international Camp 100 event next year and they need your help to make sure no one has to miss out.

The international 10 day camp will offer engaging workshops, adventurous activities, and a chance to develop skills with friendships to be made with people all over the world. Attendees will live by Woodcraft Folk’s cooperative values during the camp and look ahead to the next 100 years of Woodcraft Folk.

Camp 100 is happening between 27th July and the 6th August 2025 at Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire but Woodcraft Folk are on a mission this Christmas to make sure everyone has the chance to attend their camp and are asking people to donate and give the gift of adventure during their campaign.

Lauren Penny, Communications Manager at Woodcraft Folk says: “The cost of living crisis and job insecurity has meant that many families will struggle to budget to pay full camp fees for their children to play and enjoy outdoor adventures at Camp 100. Through our fundraiser we want to raise funds to make sure that none has to miss out on the life changing experience of attending a Woodcraft Folk camp including both volunteers and young people.

Many of us have experienced first hand or heard how impactful attending a Woodcraft Folk camp can be and with all donations doubled during the Camp 100 fundraiser, there really isn’t a better time to donate if you want to support our cause. We’re particularly asking those who have been to a Woodcraft Folk camp in the past and know what a difference it can make attending these events to give back and allow another young person the chance to attend”

Donations made during the campaign mean that the young people and volunteers that have the most to gain will benefit from being able to attend the camp. Woodcraft Folk will prioritise support to those with disabilities/health issues, globalised majority, living with financial insecurity and those living furthest from the Camp100 venue.

With the help of Woodcraft Folk members and supporters, funds raised during last year’s Adventure’s for All Big Give campaign totaled £11,881! The funds created meant Woodcraft Folk could provide so many brilliant opportunities for hundreds of disadvantaged children and young people during 2024.

The charity were able to offer subsidies and bursaries to events such as Camps for All in Scotland, ran volunteer training to allow groups in deprived areas to run residentials and supported our centres to help keep them providing engaging experiences. The charity is hoping their fundraiser this year can be just as successful.
