Something big is coming…
Woodcraft Folk has always believed in bringing young people together across borders in co-operation — and in their 100th anniversary year, they are thrilled to announce that they will be hosting their next international camp in 2030!
As thousands of young people are gathered from all over the world currently at Woodcraft Folk’s special Camp 100 event – in celebration of the youth organisation’s centenary – the charity couldn’t think of a better time to announce the 2030 camp which will be the first big scale event in their next chapter!
The camp will be a space for youth-led activities, global connections, outdoor adventures, engaging workshops and unforgettable memories!
Right now, plans are growing—and Woodcraft Folk want their members and supporters with them every step of the way.

Thomas Boxall and Esme Thompson, Camp 2030 Co-ordinators say:
‘After a nine year gap between Co-Camp and Common Ground; and then a three year gap between Common Ground and Camp 100, returning to hosting an International Camp every five years is a very promising feeling for the organisation. Having this space where Woodcraft Members from across the UK can come together, being joined by International Friends from around the globe is an extremely beautiful thing which we feel very honoured of having the opportunity to perpetuate.
We are very excited to begin working on making the 2030 International Camp a reality, to create a 10-day extravaganza of unforgettable memories for Young People and Volunteers alike. We’re not starting the planning for 2030 just yet, as we want to reflect on Camp 100 & the Camps before it. Please take a moment to complete the evaluation for Camp 100 when it comes past you, this will give us the best possible information as to what to repeat, what to change and what to create.’
In homage to the charity’s past camps, the 2030 camp will be built for young people by young people and Woodcraft Folk are on the search for those interested in forming their 2030 Camp Team of volunteers. Those wanting to take on any volunteer role at the next camp should express their interest by emailing ic2030@woodcraft.org.uk.
Woodcraft Folk also want your suggestions as to what the theme of the camp should be. You can send in your ideas to ic2030@woodcraft.org.uk
The countdown is on. Stay curious, stay connected, and watch this space!
