Event date:
21 September 2019 - 10:30am - 5:00pm
Event location:
Ipswich Quaker Meeting House, IP1 3JH

By the end of the session, new volunteers will:

  • Get to know each other and about history and running of Woodcraft Folk
  • Be able to plan and deliver a game or activity linked to our aims and principles
  • Be able to use safeguarding procedures to respond to any concerns raised about a child or adult
  • Understand more about the roles and tasks required to ensure an effective and sustainable Woodcraft Folk group
  • Know where to find further resources and training opportunities

For more experienced volunteers we can cover a range of other topics such as 'Intro to Woodcraft Folk Key Messages' / 'How to Take Better Photos' / 'Using Social Media to Grow Your Group' / 'LGBT+ Inclusion' and both new and experienced volunteers coming together in the afternoon for the activity share.  If anyone has any ideas for a different particular topic then to get in touch lauren@woodcraft.org.uk to see if we can fit it in.

If there is anything else you'd like to see covered, please let us know and we will try to fit it in.

Refreshments will be provided.

We will be running a crèche if needed, but will need to find volunteer help for this. Please do let us know if you need to use the crèche. Travel expenses can be covered.
