Trustees met at Height Gate Camping Barn in early October, welcoming Clare Ritchie (Scottish rep), Alex Thompson (DF rep) and Mickey Lowe (DF rep) to their first meeting. During the meeting Trustees discussed Woodcraft Folk finances, the 2025 budget and the new strategic plan. Following two years of consultation the new strategic plan focuses on:
- Increasing engagement of under-represented groups of children and young people in our aims and principles
- Making it easier and more accessible to volunteer
- Financial sustainability and reducing financial barriers
- Environmental sustainability
The Board also elected individuals to new positions, welcoming Joe Bailey (Waltham Abbey & Harlow District) as the new Chair. Please see this short video, where individual Trustees introduce themselves.
The Trustee Board is still looking for individuals with experience in fundraising and property/facilities management. If you would like to know more please contact chair@woodcraft.org.uk
