Lockerbrook Volunteers

Lockerbrook Farm is owned and run by the Woodcraft Folk (WcF), a registered charity. Although primarily a WcF residential centre, Lockerbrook Farm welcomes groups from schools, youth groups, retreats, friends and family groups and DofE campers. Visiting groups are supported by paid staff (Centre Manager, Centre Assistant & Housekeeper, Chefs & Activity Instructors) and unpaid volunteer Wardens.

Voluntary positions available:

Lockerbrook Volunteers  – this includes coming up on site to help with a variety of tasks including gardening and light maintenance.  We also are looking for people with an interest in Decarbonisation to join our group which meets remotely.

Lockerbrook Wardens – we currently have a small group of volunteers who stay overnight to support visiting groups.  We are keen to increase this group and would like to encourage  those who live within an hour of Lockerbrook  (Sheffield/Manchester/Leeds) to consider this  volunteer role. Please see the ‘Volunteer Warden job description’ document for more information.
