Updated 1 April 2022
Woodcraft Folk’s latest guidance to groups is available below – this reflects recent changes to restrictions around the UK, and the precautionary approach that is required in response to high levels of transmission of the ‘Omicron’ Covid-19 variant seen in many areas.
While face coverings are no longer required in settings in England, they remain strongly recommended for indoor provision.
Ventilating indoor spaces, hand hygiene, measures to improve distancing, and routine testing where available all have an important part to play in reducing risks associated with bringing groups of young people together for Woodcraft Folk activities.
Additional guidance applicable to the youth work sector is also available from:
Further support and advice is available by emailing membership@woodcraft.org.uk.
We have also hosted a series of webinars to explore how to provide Covid-responsible activities in you groups, and deliver safe and successful residentials, which can be watched on demand.
Before resuming any face-to-face delivery, groups are required to complete this checklist to notify Folk Office of their plans.
