Sheffield Derwent Woodchips

Morley Street Allotments
Morley Street

Sheffield Derwent Woodchips meet in indoor and outdoor spaces around Walkley on 2nd and 4th Sunday afternoons. Grown-ups stay with their children, and are encouraged to join in with running the sessions. Some recent highlights include making magic potions, building mini rafts and floating them in the stream, letting the children lead us on a rainy woodland walk, and designing a giant boardgame. A couple of times a year we go on trips with the other groups in the District (either camping or to the Lockerbrook residential centre).

Thanks for your interest in joining a local Woodcraft Folk group!

Woodcraft Folk is the UK co-operative youth organisation for children and young people that has been going for a century. Every week thousands of volunteers and young people come together at their local group. There they learn about big ideas through fun activities like singing, camping, playing and debating.

To express an interest in joining a group, please send us a message using the form. Once submitted, the form will email the coordinator of this group who will be in touch soon regarding your enquiry.

If the group you are interested in is full for young members, please continue to fill in the relevant form below to be added to a waiting list. Groups that are full are in need of volunteers more than ever as it would mean we can open our group to more young members and reduce waiting lists. Please still get in touch if you would like to volunteer.

If you have any questions, please contact our Membership Team on membership@woodcraft.org.uk or call (+44) 020 7703 4173.
