Our regular donors are called “Friends of the Folk” because of the amazing support they give to Woodcraft Folk.
Woodcraft Folk is a space where young people have been coming together for over a centenary to have great fun, develop self-confidence, spend time outdoors and learn how to build a peaceful, fairer world. Our crucial work has changed the lives of thousands of young people of all ages over the years.
Whilst we are thrilled to have celebrated our centenary last year, Woodcraft Folk is facing challenging times and donations like yours make a huge difference. Like many organisations right now we are facing financial struggles and need all the support we can get.
Regular donations are vital to our work, as they allow us to plan for the future, and to ensure that our support is always available to volunteers.
Donating regularly by direct debit is one of the best ways in which you can support our work and help give young people a voice. It’s simple to set up, and payments are collected automatically each month, cutting down on admin costs.
By setting up a Direct Debit, you’ll be helping to ensure more children and young people can come to Woodcraft Folk to have great fun, develop self-confidence and learn how to build a peaceful, fairer world.
Friends of the Folk are kept up to date on Woodcraft Folk’s work; the impact of their donations; and opportunities to get involved in upcoming events and campaigns.
Your regular donation will help us:
- Start new groups and outreach projects such as Play Out and Camps for All
- Support and empower young people through access funds, educational resources and more
- Run our residential centres where we engage with even more young people
- Fund engaging regional, national and international events
- Give opportunities to harder to reach children and young people
- Recruit new volunteer leaders and support existing ones
- Fund safeguarding checks; training sessions; and better databases
