Your new adventure starts here

We are recruiting for volunteers at our Cambridge Woodchips Woodcraft Folk local youth group!

Come and work with one of the longest serving and most established youth movements in the world.

Volunteering with Woodcraft Folk is a chance to develop skills, improve wellbeing, try something different, explore new experiences, meet like-minded people, support local community and make an impact through value driven work.

Through weekly group nights we support children and young people to take the lead and change their world. We are currently looking for volunteers at our Cambridge Hedgehog Woodchips local group who share our passion and want to be part of an exciting community.

If you are not from Cambridge and would like to volunteer with Woodcraft Folk please head here to find and contact your nearest group.

Being a volunteer at Woodcraft Folk means being part of a thriving community of passionate and dedicated people. It’s about developing skills, helping children and young people engage with the world around them and, meeting new people and most importantly, having fun!

Everyone welcome

Every week thousands of volunteers and young people across the UK meet in school halls, community venues and a host of other places to attend our local groups. There, our young members learn about big ideas through fun activities like craft, games, camping, playing and debating.

Our local groups are the lifeblood of our charity and this crucial offering for children and young people is only possible with the support of a diverse range of volunteers.

We are an inclusive organisation and encourage everyone to apply to volunteer with us. No experience necessary! No matter what your skills or background, there will be something for you where you can make a difference at a local group.

Our Cambridge Hedgehog Woodchips local group meet weekly on Saturdays during term time from 9.30-11am at St Matthews Church Hall serving under five years. However, the volunteer opportunities on offer are flexible and you don’t need to make each group session. Volunteering can be organised to fit around your existing commitments. We are grateful for your support no matter what time you can give.

If Saturday’s generally don’t work for you, we also have our Venturer group in Cambridge that are currently looking for volunteers and they meet on Mondays. Find out more here.

Apply now to find out how you can fit into our volunteer family! Fill in the form at the bottom of this web page to express your interest in volunteering.
