Glasgow Southside Woodchips

Contact

Location: 111 Moss Side Road, Shawlands, Glasgow, G41 3TP
Meeting time: Wednesdays at 17:30

Fun and friendly woodchip group for children under 6 in the cosmopolitan southside of Glasgow. Due to the age range we ask that a parent or carer stays and joins in the session.

We enjoy learning about nature and the outdoors in Queens Park and getting messy and creative doing arts and crafts and games inside. We meet in the same place and time as the older Woodcraft Folk groups. In the summer and autumn terms activities are in Queens Park (when weather allows) and in the winter and spring term we meet in Shawlands United Reformer Church Hall, Shawlands, Glasgow Southside.

This is a co-operative, volunteer/parent run group.

Time: 5:30pm-6:45pm every Wednesday during term time

Cost: £5 a month (under 3s are free). This covers our venue, material, refreshments and registration costs.

We also go camping and have an annual winter hostel weekend with all the Glasgow Southside District. So far we have been to Inverary, Moffat, CrianlarachPitlochry and New Lanark.

Every term we take part in a countryside walk with our Woodcraft groups from around Glasgow. This is always a good time to meet new friends and catch up with old ones and enjoy some fresh air.
