Kelvingrove Elfins

Contact

Location: Kelingrove Park, Glasgow, G12 8NR
Meeting time: Wednesdays at 18:00

The Glasgow Kelvingrove Elfins are aged from about 6-9. Every group night we facilitate fun activities for them in line with Woodcraft Folk's ethos. As well as Group Nights there are camps, hostel weekends, and meetups with other groups as well as other relevant events.

The Elfins meet at the same time and place as the other groups (not Garnethill), on a Wednesday from 1800-1900.

This term's Elfin activities:

  • Parachute games, craft and songs around the campfire
  • Burn's Celebration - Singing, storytelling and drama
  • Torch walk
  • Baking cakes with the Pioneers
  • Circus skills
  • Photogrammetry
  • Folk dancing with the Pioneers
  • Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls
  • Prepare for Pea Fayre with Pioneers and Woodchips
  • Pea Fayre
  • End of term celebration

As well as this there is the opportunity to go on a hostel weekends with other Glasgow groups, or meet up with Woodies from across Scotland at one of our Gatherings.

As you can see we get up to lots of different things, this term we are still mostly inside, and this term's theme is "One World".  If you'd like to see some more photos of what we get up to, have a look at our Facebook page.
