Group Builder

Woodcraft Folk is an educational movement for children & young people, seeking to develop their self-confidence and promote their participation in social action, with the aim of building a world based on equality, friendship, peace and co-operation.

We are looking for enthusiastic Group Builders to help support local Woodcraft Folk Groups and increasing and widening participation by young members and volunteers. You will be adaptable, organised and have a good understanding of safeguarding practice and child protection issues. You will be confident in facilitating group activities with both children and adults. You will enjoy motivating and encouraging others. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the confidence to build capacity and raise awareness of our organisation.

Activities include:

  • Facilitating community outreach and Play Out events
  • Attending community events to raise the profile of Woodcraft Folk
  • Liaising with local Volunteer Centres to recruit new volunteers
  • Support the induction and training of new volunteers
  • Co-ordinator group night activities, residentials and camps
