Development Officer (Camelon)

Woodcraft Folk Scotland is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced development worker to lead activity with volunteers to build on and sustain the Woodcraft Folk groups established in Camelon and Tamfourhill over the last four years. The successful candidate will lead on establishing a new group for 11 to 16 year olds.

You will be adaptable and organised, and able to use co-operative outdoor play and activities as a means to attract new young members and volunteers. You’ll have experience of working with and supporting volunteers, and have worked with children and young people, ideally in a play or youth work setting. You’ll be able to work independently, and enjoy motivating and encouraging others. You’ll have excellent communication skills, and possess the confidence to build capacity and raise awareness of our organisation.

This post is for 7 hours per week, and will involve some evening and weekend events and meetings, therefore the successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly.

This post is subject to a PVG scheme record check.
