Holiday and Food Programme Clubs

The government’s £220 million Holiday Activities and Food programme is coming to your local area this summer to offer a safe and supportive environment where children affected by the pandemic can learn, be active, eat well and thrive this summer. The extended Holiday Activities and Food programme (#HAF2021) will offer fun things to do as well as providing nutritious meals to eat, and food education for children and young people in the community. The programme is funded by the government and is supported by Marcus Rashford.

Woodcraft Folk is a youth charity which coordinates 300 local youth groups and 6 residential centres across the UK. Woodcraft Folk delivers informal education based on principles of co-operation, equality, children’s rights, internationalism, peace and sustainable development. The organisation will be leading the activities in Hammersmith and Fulham this summer.
This summer holiday club will be available and FREE for all children and young people aged between 10-14 years old, and we would love for as many local young people to access the club as possible. The club will be a fantastic space for young people during the summer break to have loads of fun, meet new friends as well as build a good relationship with food.
The summer holiday club will mostly take place outside at South Park in Fulham and Wormholt park in Shepherd’s Bush following COVID safe procedures. Activities will include games, craft, campfire cooking & survival skills, social action, sports and more. Each week will have a different theme! We would also love to get young people involved in planning the activities we will be running, giving them an opportunity to shape the activities.
