General Council, Woodcraft Folk's trustee board, adopted a set of core standards for leadership in 2008. These are the minimum requirements of any Group Leader in Woodcraft Folk.

Essential Leadership Standards:  

  • Belief and commitment to the Woodcraft Folk Aims and Principles
  • Is a member of the organisation
  • Values and respects children and young people
  • Committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults
  • Open to learning and personal development
  • Able to listen
  • Honest
  • Committed
  • Has a current CRB check with Woodcraft Folk
