Risk Assessment: template and guidance

We've launched #DreamBigAtHome!

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Below you can download editable template Risk Assessments, for use when planning activities and events. Use this in conjunction with your Health and Safety Policy and the Accident Report form

The Word version is a straightforward risk assessment that will meet the minimum requirements if completed correctly and shared with volunteers supporting the activity.

The Excel template will automatically calculate the total risk factor, and colour code the cells accordingly. It also allows you to assess the severity and impact of each risk before and after you have taken steps to control it. You may find this more appropriate to use for a more complex activity such as a camp or residential.

Available below are completed examples for general activities and fire. Feel free to use these examples provided by Histon Pioneers, Cambridge District for guidance and a starting point for your own group risk assessments.
