How do I get a DBS?

We've launched #DreamBigAtHome!

Our new lockdown website has hundreds of activities and games to do at home, weekly challenges to try and a regular programme of live workshops and events online, as well as information on how our groups can operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

All volunteers who regularly attend a group (more than once a month), or participate in residential activities, are required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure, and become a full member of Woodcraft Folk. DBS forms can be completed online at

Please complete membership before applying for a DBS online.

Once an applicant has completed their online form they will need to take their ID along to their Membership Secretary to be witnessed and their application verified online. It can take a few weeks for the Disclosure and Barring Service to process your online application, so it's best to complete it as early as possible, especially if you're planning to be the responsible adult at a Woodcraft Folk event.

If you're a new group, we will link you up with a near by district Membership secretary who will verify your documents.
