London agm appoint a new Chair

Monday, 25 March 2019

Hello, I'm Ashley and I'm pleased to have been elected the new chair of London committee!

I started in Woodcraft as a Venturer, and have been one of the Teddington district Venturer group leaders for about 10 years. I was also a facilitator for the national-level Venturer Committee for a while. Prior to being elected chair I was an occasional attendee to London committee meetings, including being involved with organisation for last year's London region camp.

Pioneers on the radio!

Thursday, 31 January 2019

On Tuesday 29th January St Neots Pioneers took to Huntingdon Community Radio to promote their group to new members in the area. The Pioneers - Daisy-Mae (age 11) and Ethan (age 10) did a wonderful job of explaining what Woodcraft Folk is and what they get up to at their groups. The Pioneers were asked about their favourite activities that they do at Woodcraft Folk, Ethan really enjoys the crafts "last week we made a willow lantern at our group night" and Daisy-Mae spoke about how the Bivvies on camp are her favourite part of Woodcraft Folk.
