Development Officer, Glasgow

£23,855 - £26,494 pro rata, plus homeworker allowance
14 hpw, fixed term contract until 31 March 2019

Woodcraft Folk has secured a significant grant from the Scottish Government, enabling us to recurit part-time Development Officer. Between September 2018 and March 2019, they will work closely with volunteers in our ten groups across Glasgow to deliver sustainable growth and widen participation.

Bushcraft weekend at Park Farm

We'll be hosting a Bushcraft camp at Park Farm for leaders and children (10 years plus) on the 22nd - 24th August. The cost to attend is £45 per person. There is limited availbility so we advise that you book as soon as possible.

Upcoming Training Weekends for Volunteers

Upcoming training weekends for volunteers will take place:  

  • 5th - 7th October at Lockerbrook Outdoor Centre, Sheffield 

  • 7th  - 9th September at Cudham Activity Centre, Kent

Both events are free residential training weekends for new and existing volunteers. The training is aimed at both volunteers working directly with young people in a local group, as well as those taking on District and camp roles.

This year's Annual Gathering was held at our newest campsite - the wonderful Biblins - in glorious sunshine. Saturday was full of celebration of our achievements over the past year, launching our new strategic plan - which will take us through to our centenary in 2025 - and a wide range of inspiring workshops and skill-sharing sessions.
