European Voluntary Service position in IFM-SEI

IFM-SEI is looking for an enthusiastic and active volunteer to work full time in Brussels for 11 months between October 2014 and August 2015. We will apply for a fund called European Voluntary Service to cover the living costs of the volunteer.

Ice skating in the south east

For the third year running, over 100 members and parents from Knaphill, New Malden, Spelthorne, Tolworth & Kingston and Walton districts came together for an ice skating session at the Hampton Court Palace open air rink on 10th January. It rained a bit but not enough to dampen the spirits of those gliding around on the ice. New contacts were made and we plan to do other joint activities in the future.

2013 Glasgow Southside Woodies Moffat weekend

This December the Southside Woodies and two families from Stirling went to Moffat. We stayed in a massive house, with lots of stairs and beds, for a whole weekend.

Talk on the Wild Side

For their last group meeting of the year, Spelthorne District and guests from Walton District held a special event. Graham Cornick of the Hydestyle Resident Animals in Godalming gave a ‘Talk on the Wild Side’ , he brought along some rescued animals & birds and explained their life histories and how they were nursed back to health.
