IFM-SEI (www.ifm-sei.org/), the international youth movement of which Woodcraft Folk is a member organisation, has decided to make the visa issue one of its core priorities for the next three years. This is because arranging visas for IFM events, whether in Europe or beyond, has become increasingly challenging. Exclusive, unfair and expensive visa regimes mean that IFM exchanges, international camps and seminars are no longer accessible to everyone.

Bore dydd Sadwrn yng Nghynulliad Blynyddol Gwerin daeth 34 ohonom ynghyd i chwarae gêm Co-opVille. Pentref dychmygol yw Co-opVille a'r bwriad yw dysgu plant a phobl ifanc sut mae cwmnïau cydweithredol yn gweithio drwy chwarae rhan yn un o'r gwmnïau'r pentref. Roedd y gwerithgaredd hwn yn rhan o brosiect Co-op Op sy'n cefnogi pobl ifanc i lunio eu dyfodol ar batrwm gydweithredol trwy Gymru. Wedi treulio rhan gyntaf y gêm yn dysgu am gydweithredu a cheisio deall rheolau'r gêm, ar ôl toriad byr, roedd yn amser rhoi cychwyn ar y masnachu.

Woodcraft Folk in Stanley, County Durham is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. Stanley Woodcraft Folk was set up in 1988 by a group of parents who wanted their children to take part in activities around culture, democracy and the environment as well as taking part in co-operative games and having fun. We're still going strong today in Stanley, County Durham and over the 25 years have welcomed many children, young people and their families through our doors.

Yn ddiweddar cafodd criw Penarth oedrannau 13-15 noswaith o weithgareddau cydweithredol a oedd yn dangos sut mae mentrau cydweithredol yn gweithio. Roedd hyn yn ran o brosiect Co-op Op, sef prosiect cyfredol Gwerin y Coed, sydd â’r nod o alluogi pobl ifanc i ddarganfod llwybrau newydd i fewn i fyd gwaith.

The Penarth Venturers recently had an evening of activities about co-operative enterprise. This was part of Gwerin y Coed’s current big project, Co-op Op, with the aim of enabling young people to discover new routes into the world of work.

Woodcraft Folk youngsters' help for Syrian refugee children

Youngsters from Leighton Buzzard Woodcraft Folk donated a dozen shoe boxes to the British Red Cross today. Filled with a variety of essentials as well as some gifts, the boxes were destined for refugee children fleeing the Syrian Conflict.

Anne Marsh awarded Midcounties Co-operative Member of the Year 2013

Anne Marsh of High Acres Woodcraft Folk - where she has worked with their groups for 33 years - has been awarded The Midcounties Co-operative Member of the Year 2013. 

Midcounties Co-operative wanted the opportunity to recognise the contributions five of their members have made to their local communities this year, and Anne was chosen by the judging panel for her region. Their article is here.
