On a cold, wet and windy evening there is nothing better than sitting on primary school chairs exploring the safeguarding role of Woodcraft Folk adults!

Debs McCahon, Woodcraft Folk's Director of Development, met 6 new members from Nottingham Woodcraft Folk on a dark, damp night only a stone’s throw from the Nottingham Forest/City Ground Stadium.

Each Spring term for the last 8 years groups have been encouraged to put their 'Hands In' and participate in similar activities across our network of groups. This year's theme is 'Span the World with Friendship' as we all begin to get ready for Common Ground, international camp August 2020.

Resist the global climate divide

Throughout 2019 Woodcraft Folk young members took action to request that our politicions address the climate emergency. During 2020 Woodcraft Folk will be joining forces with other IFM-SEI member organisations to support both education and action to address the climate emergency. The Reists project will invovle sharing best practice, seminars, workshops and training.

 

The project is seeking feedback and suggestions from young people (under 30 years) as well as 'experts' in the field of sustainability, climate science or education.

European Falcon Movement Network Meeting, 26-30 March in Belgium

Woodcraft Folk is excited to join other European IFM-SEI members at the next European Falcon Movement Network meeting i Brussels, 26th-30th March 2020.

 

IFM-SEI have successfully attracted funding to support the network to come together to share practice and support international solidarity. For Woodcraft Folk this will be a great opportunity to promote Common Ground and demonstrate international friendship.
