This year's Annual General Meeting will be held online on September 26th 2021.

Woodcraft Folk strongly encourage children, young people and groups to influence Woodcraft Folk's strategy, programme and policies through the submission of motions. Motions could show solidarity to a particular cause, demand action on a theme important to young people or encourage groups to participate in social action.

My responsibility will be to help with all the possible ways of communication and their improvement, so that you know about everything that is going on! I will be helping with communicating with our volunteers, young members and those who are not part of Woodcraft Folk yet.

Kids Got Rights International Kick Off Meeting

Over the weekend of 9th-11th April a small group of young delegates from Woodcraft Folk took part in the international kick off weekend of the Kids Got Rights project.

BYC Members Meeting

Woodcraft Folk are active members of the British Youth Council and recently attended an online meeting of BYC members. The meeting shared practice and the ongoing impact of COVID on the sector and on young people. The meeting recognised the need to support the mental health of children and young people and that poor mental health is often as a result of other factors such as discrimination, unemployment, lack of support and the life experiences of individuals.

The Folk remember Catherine McCarthy - Cudham Centre Mananger 2008-2020.


For everyone who has ever met Catherine they will remember a warm hearted woman who took great joy in hosting groups at Cudham and sparking an interest in the world amongst children and young people. Catherine shared her knowledge, skills and experience; coaching new leaders and hosting residential stays for new groups. She was a good organiser of people, but would also put herself out to help others.
