Youth Leadership Collective

Woodcraft Folk is excited to annouce a great opportunity for our young members. As a member of the British Youth Council, Woodcraft Folk have been selected to join 20 other organisations in showcasing good youth leadership practice. The project will bring together young leaders to explore inclusion, diversity, training, support and Children's Rights.

All Venturers, DFs and young kinsfolk are encouraged to apply to be part of the BYC Youth Leadership Collective. The collective hopes to develop:

- Theory of leadership

- Leadership training

- A network of young leaders

As part of the programme you need to commit to participating in monthly meetings for 12 months and will be given a mentor to support you in your leadership journey.

Woodcraft Folk provide many opportunities for children and young people to develop leadership skills, everything from leading clan, peer facilitation to sitting on General Council as a Trustee. In 2021 some of the leadership roles available include:

- #DreamBigAtHome steering group members

- Standing Orders Committee member

- Green Influencers as part of the new green social action project

- Camp co-ordinators

- Group leadership

- Climate Science educators as part of the All Change project
