Window Wanderland 2020

Sunday, 1 March 2020

Children and young people from Glasgow Kelvingrove Woodcraft Folk joined Glasgow Southside district in creating a display for our local Window Wanderland event this February.

This is an event that sees a neighbourhood put on a fantastic evening display of creative window design transforming everyday streets into magical, outdoor galleries.

Woodchips, Elfins and Pioneers spent a group night working on their displays, on the theme of flooded Glasgow, to raise awareness of the climate emergency. Woodchips created underwater creatures, Elfins created animals and people helping pull each other up, and Pioneers created submerged Glasgow landmarks.

On the event night we met for food and to put the finishing touches to the displays, followed by a walk around the streets to admire all the artworks with the crowd.
