Volunteer Wardens Wanted at Biblins!

Monday, 28 June 2021

At Biblins Campsite we rely on our volunteer wardens to help keep the site running and provide a friendly Woodcraft welcome to all of our visitors.

This year we are doing things differently as we have 2 ESC placements, Federica and Ivan living on site for the summer. We are also for one year only, open all season to Family and Household groups as well as Schools and Youth Groups.

We are seeking support form Woodcraft Members over the coming months to come and spend time as Campsite Wardens. This will help support Ivan and Federica to have time off as well as the opportunity to span the world with friendship through interacting with a wider group of Woodcraft Folk members.

Wardens accommodation includes a large Bell tent with double bed and camping mats for other family members; a camp kitchen with running water, gas cooker, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. warden toilet and access to a warm shower.

The warden role includes:

  • Welcoming guests and checking them in and out of the site
  • Being present for some of the day to talk with guests and answer questions
  • Being a point of contact for guests and ensuring that the terms and conditions are being adhered to by campers
  • Cleaning of bathroom facilities
  • Sitting round the fire at night
  • Enjoying the beautiful Wye Valley

If you are interested in wardening at Biblins you will need;

  • To be over 18
  • To be an up to date Woodcraft Folk member
  • Have a current DBS
  • To take part in an on-line warden training before you warden with us (Date TBC)
