Volunteer experiences during the pandemic

Tuesday, 2 February 2021

Earlier this year Woodcraft Folk received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Government as part of the Coronavirus Community Support Fund.

The National Lottery Community Fund and the Government have asked Ipsos MORI to conduct a survey of those who volunteered by giving unpaid help to benefit others during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in order to understand better the experiences of those who volunteered during the pandemic, and the value of volunteering for people and local communities. The findings will also be used to shape future volunteering, particularly when responding to emergencies.

Woodcraft Folk would like to invite you to take part in the survey because you have volunteered with our organisation. All volunteers are encouraged to complete the survey regardless of your contirbution, you may have volunteered:

- To fundraise

- To warden at Biblins

- To run Zoom sessions

- To prepare the cottage for rental at Lockerbrook

- To be a Trustee, District Officer holder or regional committee member

- To distribute activity packs

- To support food banks and local mutual aid centres with food distribution

The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete and this can be done online.

The questions will ask about your background and skills, how and why you got involved with us, and what difference you think your help has made to you and others. All of the information collected will be treated in the strictest confidence. Your individual answers will not be passed on to anyone outside of Ipsos MORI (including our organisation) in a way that can identify you.

If for any reason you require assistance to complete the survey, please contact Ipsos MORI at [CCSF-volunteers-survey@ipsos-mori.com] or 0808 1016 229 who will be happy to help.
