Supporting Child Refugees

Wednesday, 15 March 2017

Woodcraft Folk has a noble history of supporting child refugees dating at least from the time of the Kindertransport when many children who would otherwise have been killed were welcomed into our homes.

The scrapping of the Dubs amendment which committed Britain to accept unattached child refugees is a scandal, a disgrace to our democracy and the most obvious sign of contempt held by some of our parliament for children's rights.

We recently wrote to all our members asking if they would take this to their group nights and act individually by contacting their local MP.

Thank you to all those who have responded to this.

We thought you would like to see the attached positive letter of support from Vicky Foxcroft Member of Parliament for Lewisham Deptford
