Volunteer Wardens Wanted at Biblins!

At Biblins Campsite we rely on our volunteer wardens to help keep the site running and provide a friendly Woodcraft welcome to all of our visitors.

This year we are doing things differently as we have 2 ESC placements, Federica and Ivan living on site for the summer. We are also for one year only, open all season to Family and Household groups as well as Schools and Youth Groups.

Socially distanced Big Lunch in Dollar Park hosted by Falkirk Woodcrafters

Woodcraft Folk hosted an annual charity event called Big Lunch in Dollar Park on Saturday June 6. This year people not only met safely in person, but they were also encouraged to get together virtually. They united in a nationwide act of community friendship while having plenty of fun and food for everyone on the day. The purpose of this event is to reduce isolation, improve mental health and bring people together to build better connected communities.

JULIA AND HANS RAUSING ANNOUNCE SUCCESFUL APPLICANTS OF £8  MILLION ‘YOUTH CENTRE RECOVERY FUND’  

Woodcraft Folk is one of 148 youth centres across England to recieve financial support fron Julia Hans Rausing to reopen our centres following COVID closures.

Summer is just around the corner, and volunteers and staff are working hard to prepare Woodcraft Folk's campsites and outdoor centres for visits from Pioneer and Venturer groups in August.

These events will be different to our original plans, due to the restrictions on youth activities that we expect to be in force across in England in August, but will still offer opportunities for outdoor adventures inspired by Woodcraft Folk's aims and principles.

Woodcraft Folk is part of a project with our international friends at IFM-SEI called #KidsGotRights. The project will see some of our young members work collaboratively with their international counterparts from across Europe to analyse how their rights as children are recognised, respecting and met in each country to then create a toolkit of activities and resources to help others learn about children's rights.
