Meet the new Lockerbrook Farm Outdoor Centre team

Saturday, 14 April 2018

Jo Holliday is the new Centre Manager. Her main objective is to develop the Centre to be an outstanding activity centre for Woodcraft Folk and other groups. Previously she worked in the student union movement for over 25 years supporting international students. She was also a group leader for many years when her daughters were active in Woodcraft and has fond memories of bringing groups up to stay at Lockerbrook! When she is not working she is a keen off-road runner in the Peak District and beekeeper/allotmenteer.

Working very closely on a part time basis with Jo is Chris Wilson who has a long association with Lockerbrook both as an

instructor and more recently as a Centre Assistant. She is now our Deputy Centre Manager and is focusing on the development of our activity provision as well as taking a lead on the maintenance of the Centre. She is also a keen off-road runner, caver and canoeist.

And we are really pleased to welcome Mike Blakeston and Nicky Evans as our new part time Centre Assistants who do a fantastic job in helping us to get the centre ready for our groups. Mike is also a talented musician and plays in a number of bands on a regular basis. Nicky was a Woodie in her teens and actually came to help with some building work at Lockerbrook back in the 1970s and is very impressed with the standard of our Centre now!
