Great changes being made to the Woodcraft website

Friday, 28 September 2018

Behind the scenes staff and volunteers have been quietly working on the resources section of the website. After receiving your feedback we’ve made attempts to make this section more user friendly and we hope you agree.

The resources section has now been broken down into the following categories and easy to use buttons to help you find what you’re looking for.

The new categories are:

  • New Leader Handbook - new online resource coming soon!!
  • Safeguarding - A direct link to all of our polices and forms available in our safeguarding portal
  • Group Night Activities - All of our group night activities available in just one click with easy keyword search
  • Training - webinars, training tools, interactive training modules and online calendar of upcoming events
  • Group & District Admin - A complete list and link to all the group & district administrative related forms & guidance to run your group including membership & finance

Easily accessible Information for Treasurers

We recently launched the page woodcraft.org.uk/local-treasurers. This page is dedicated to group & district Treasurers of and can be found via the ‘Group & District Admin’ button in the resources section or the Fundraising & Treasurers tab on the left hand side of the homepage. This new page is now the home of all the treasurer related forms and guidance.

New Training Page -  www.woodcraft.org.uk/training

Improvements have also been made to the Training Section. Consolidating all our areas of training together making it easier to navigate the opportunities we off. The section now includes links to our webinars, online interactive modules and a new online calendar.

The new online calendar is a great addition to the site and only shows upcoming face to face training events all over the UK, making it easier for you to see what’s available to book over the course of the next few months.

Woodcraft Webinars page

Webinars are training videos we produce to support you in your roles. They cover subject areas like membership, programme, safeguarding and tips on camping.

We’ve recently organised this page to make it easier for you all to find what you’re looking for. Why not check out this page today and watch one of these great videos or signpost one of your volunteers to have a peek.

Leader Handbook - all age groups

Earlier this year we launched the New Leader Handbook a handy guide for our volunteers on how to run a Woodcraft Folk group. This resource will now be available online from December for members to refer to, along with useful links to guidance found elsewhere on site and a downloadable version will also be available.

Keep an eye out on the resources section for the launch.

We hope you’ll enjoy the improvements we’ve made and find them helpful when using the site. There are plenty more to come and we plan to keep you updated on all of them.

We welcome your feedback and any questions email info@woodcraft.org.uk.
