We are seeking engineers from all disciplines to volunteer to train as peer educators, to take part in ideas workshops on engineering solutions to the climate crisis in schools, youth groups, festivals and public events. 

Membership Badge Competition 2021

Earlier this year we launched the competition to find next year’s membership badge design. Last year was a chance for groups to think about International friendship and this year in light of the current crisis we wanted our children & young people to think about how they've helped members of their local communities.

Orders will be sent out once a week from this date. And we intend to continue as long as its is safe to do so, any change to guidance and our service will be noted on the front page of the online shop.

AGM 2020 and Election Results

We held our Annual Gathering Meeting yesterday/on Sunday 13th September and we wanted to update you on the results. 

This was the first time we have attempted to do such a meeting online, and, despite a few hiccups it went well. We had 69 proxy votes submitted in advance and 13 votes cast on the day. There were 25 people in attendance, including Standing Orders Committee and General Council Members.

The full minutes will follow shortly and will be available via the website, but here are the important headlines.

Member Meet Up (Scotland, North, Wales & Midlands)

Members came together today (online) to share their experiences of lock-down and plans for resuming group night activities. Members from Scotland, the Northern and Midlands regions came together and heard about:

  • Nottingham's Zoom meetings
  • Glasgow East End's activities in the local park
  • Leicestershire's Kingfisher group basing activities on the #DreamBigAtHome weekly challenges

As a group we shared plans, COVID-19 restrictions and the impact of localised lockdown.
